Principal’s Message

Dear South/West Park Parents and Community,
It is hard to believe that another school year has come to an end. As we prepare for the 2026–2027 school year, Mrs. Sanchez and I are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for our students, staff, and families.
As we begin the new year, we will continue to focus on our school's core values: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe. We are committed to working hard to ensure the success of every student. This school year promises to be filled with opportunities for students to grow academically while also developing socially and emotionally. Our mission is to help every child feel welcomed, connected, and valued as an important member of the South/West Park family.
At South/West Park, our teachers dedicate countless hours to planning and creating engaging learning experiences for students. We strive to challenge each student to reach their fullest potential and support them as they continue to grow in their academic abilities.
To all of our new families, welcome to our school community! We are excited to share all that South/West Park has to offer. Our teachers, support staff, and families look forward to welcoming you. At SWP, we highly value strong home-school communication, as it plays a vital role in student success.
It is truly a privilege to be part of a community where parents, teachers, and students care for one another and work together to build positive relationships that support academic achievement and social growth.
Together, let's make the 2026–2027 school year a successful and rewarding experience for all!
Sincerely,
Juan Lopez, Principal
South/West Park Elementary School
